A official inquiry has been initiated to ascertain the reasons behind Lalrinpuia's premature demise.
Digital Desk: A tragic event occurred during election duty in Mizoram when a personnel of the Indian Reserve Battalion's Second Battalion, stationed at Vangchhia, passed away while in his sleep.
Lalrinpuia (28), the deceased personnel was a native of Kawlkulh village in the Khawzawl District. He was assigned to election duties at Vangchhia Primary School. When other poll workers tried to wake him up at 5 am today, they found him unconscious in bed.
The local community and the election administration are both in shock over Lalrinpuia's unexpected passing. As per the preliminary accounts, Lalrinpuia's health was normal and there were no previous indications of concerns.
