Digital Desk: In the morning of July 6, a theft took place at Punjab National Bank in Lumding.

A thief managed to steal a smartphone valued at Rs 28,000 from a customer inside the bank premises.


The entire incident was caught on CCTV footage.


The suspect kept the mobile phone into his pocket and fled the scene, carrying out the theft despite the security personnel inside the bank.


Following the incident, the victim, Lawrence Dey approached the Lumding police to lodge a complaint.


Acting on the complaint, the police have launched an investigation to apprehend the thief and recover the stolen device.
