Digital Desk: Bollywood icon Madhuri Dixit is rumored to be considering a foray into politics, with reports suggesting her possible candidacy in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections from North West Mumbai.

Sources indicate that Dixit has been in communication with leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for an extended period. The speculation gained momentum after she was spotted alongside prominent political figures, including Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, NCP leader Praful Patel, and BJP leader Ashish Shelar, during the World Cup 2023 semi-final match between India and New Zealand at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.

Though there were earlier conjectures about her potential candidacy from Pune, the prevailing belief is that if Dixit decides to step into the political arena, she might contest from the North West Mumbai seat, currently held by Shiv Sena. The actress or any political party involved, however, has not officially confirmed these reports.

Madhuri Dixit, a Bollywood stalwart, recently made a comeback to the silver screen after a five-year hiatus with the film "Maja Ma" in 2022. Her illustrious career includes notable roles in films such as "Aaja Nachle," "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani," "Dedh Ishqiya," "Gulaab Gang," and "Kalank." Additionally, she ventured into the digital space with the web series "The Fame Game," where she played the role of Anamika Anand, a renowned Bollywood actress. As fans await official confirmation, the prospect of Madhuri Dixit entering the political arena has sparked considerable interest and intrigue.
