Digital Desk: Earlier on Monday afternoon, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee informed the media in a press conference that she had blocked governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on a microblogging site, Twitter as she was continuously disturbed by his posts-old on the social media site. According to the Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo, Banerjee has been the consistent critic of the political party and is threatening the chief secretary and DGP. Also Read: ‘O Mitron’ far more dangerous than Omicron: Shashi Tharoor West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee also stated that she had no other option left than to block governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Twitter since he was targeting the DGP and other high-ranked government officials on Twitter in a daily clock as if they are his bonded laborers. Contrastingly on Sunday, in a fresh attack on Banerjee, Dhankhar said democracy survives on rule of law and not the rule of an 'individual' and that the Bengal CM was refusing to sit for talks with him. "Democracy survives on rule of law, not the rule of an individual. I hope she (West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee) looks into it. She is mandated by the Constitution to sit for a dialogue with the governor," he said.
