Digital Desk: In a press conference held in Delhi, on Monday, the airport authorities of Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport introduced the ‘one handbag rule’ that will restrain passengers from carrying more than one bag inside the flight cabin. However, the above-mentioned rule has a few exceptions as mentioned by the Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) in its advisory. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in its advisory mentioned the ‘one handbag rule’ and the BCAS received the advisory earlier this month that will allow the passengers to carry only one handbag in the cabin. Exceptions to the rule: The 'one handbag rule has been implemented with a few exclusions. These include – women’s handbags, overcoats or wraps, a rug or blanket, a camera or pair of binoculars, a reading material, and a laptop bag. Any gift items purchased from duty-free shops, an umbrella or a walking stick, an infant's feed for consumption during the flight and infant's carrying basket (if the infant is carried), collapsible wheelchair, and/or pair of crutches or braces for passenger's use if dependent are also allowed in addition to the hand baggage.
