Digital Desk: West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee carried out a massive cabinet change on Wednesday, which TMC insiders said is likely to be one of the biggest since the party took power in the state in 2011.

The development comes as the party is under criticism over the arrest of now-suspended minister Partha Chatterjee in the education scam case.

On Wednesday, nine ministers will take the oath of office. These consist of:

1. Babul Supriyo

2. Snehashis Chakraborty

3. Partha Bhowmik

4. Udayan Guha

5. Pradib Majumder

MoS with independent charges

1. Biplab Roy Chowdhury

MoS

1. Tajmul Hossian

2. Satyajit Barman

Meanwhile, Birbaha Hasda, who formerly served as the Minister of State (Forest), will be sworn in as the MoS with independent charge.

Partha Chatterjee was in control of four important ministries, including industry, trade and enterprises, information technology, and parliamentary affairs, after being stripped of his ministerial duties.
