Michigan: For sexual pleasure, a 30-year-old man shoved six kidney beans into his penis, but the beans got stuck inside his urethra and he ended up in a hospital.
The unidentified man, from Michigan, wanted to "express the beans during ejaculation", doctors wrote in the journal Urology Case Reports. However, when his goal of shooting them out with "natural emission" failed, he tried to pluck the beans out using tweezers but in vain.
He went to the hospital where he told the doctors that he had difficulties in urinating. He admitted that he had engaged in the sex act earlier also but had "never attempted to utilize this many beans". A CT scan was done where it was discovered that he had six beans in his urethra, which were sized 15 millimeters by 7 millimeters each.
Urologists were able to remove one bean manually using numbing cream, squeezing his urethra. However, the rest of them were tricky to remove. Doctors conducted an operation the next day to remove the remaining five beans. They stretched his urethra open and a tube was inserted to pass surgical tools through.
The doctors said that there was "minimal" trauma to the man's urethra and he was discharged on the same day.
According to the report, in a previous case when a person put kidney beans in their urethra, doctors had to use a camera to look inside as the beans "had swollen over several days which made endoscopic retrieval impossible".
