The incident highlights the complexities of relationships and the devastating consequences of unresolved disputes within families...

Digital Desk: In a shocking incident in Ghaziabad, a 55-year-old man, Bharat Singh, was arrested on Sunday for allegedly strangling his wife, Sunita, and keeping her lifeless body at their residence for four days. The grim discovery unfolded when Singh, under the influence of alcohol, disclosed the incident to his neighbors.

Prompted by a strong, unpleasant odor emanating from the apartment, the police swiftly intervened on Saturday. They discovered Sunita's body in the bedroom, estimating that she had been deceased for approximately 3 to 4 days. Singh was promptly taken into custody, where he admitted to the murder during a domestic dispute.

The 51-year-old victim, previously widowed in 2012, had married Singh about a year ago. Tensions arose when Bharat's first wife demanded money upon learning of his second marriage, leading to a dispute between the couple. On February 28, fueled by alcohol, Bharat strangled Sunita.

Bharat, employed as a salesperson at a liquor store, has been detained for 10 days in judicial custody following a case filed by the woman's son.

The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and the investigation into this tragic event continues. The incident highlights the complexities of relationships and the devastating consequences of unresolved disputes within families.
