Gandhi asserted that the country is grappling with its highest unemployment rate in the last 40 years...

Digital Desk: In a recent address during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Gwalior, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made bold claims about India's unemployment situation. According to him, India's unemployment rate is purportedly double that of Pakistan, standing at 23%, while Pakistan's is allegedly 12%. Rahul Gandhi squarely placed the blame on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of decimating small businesses through demonetization and the implementation of GST.

Gandhi asserted that the country is grappling with its highest unemployment rate in the last 40 years and emphasized that youth unemployment surpasses that of Bangladesh and Bhutan. He passionately argued that economic policies initiated by Modi have led to a widespread and alarming rise in unemployment.

During the brief halt of the Congress yatra in Gwalior, Rahul Gandhi addressed issues such as economic disparities, social inequity, and the mistreatment of farmers and young people. He highlighted the adverse impact of demonetization and GST on small businesses, asserting that these policies have fueled the alarming unemployment crisis.

Rahul Gandhi's speech not only aimed at critiquing the economic policies of the current government but also sought to connect with various sections of society facing perceived injustice. The incorporation of 'Nyay' in the yatra's name underscores his emphasis on addressing these issues and combating the perceived "hatred" spreading across the country.
