Digital Desk: A man suffered severe injuries after being pushed out of a moving train in Birbhum district by a fellow passenger following an altercation as per a railway official.

In this case, one person was apprehended, and the Government Railway Police (GRP) believe that a few others were also involved. On Saturday night, the incident occurred between Tarapith Road and Rampurhat stations.

The man claimed he was thrown off the train after protesting purported misbehaviour by fellow passengers.

According to the official, Sajal Sheikh, who was pushed out of the Howrah-Malda Town Intercity Express, was rescued from the tracks in an injured state. According to the official, he was admitted to Rampurhat Medical College and Hospital, where his condition was described as stable.

Sheikh, a Sundipur village resident, told police from his hospital bed that he had boarded the train from Sainthia.
