Digital Desk: An FIR has been registered at the Bishnupur Women Police Station in connection with a gang-rape case that reportedly happened in Churachandpur on May 3.
As per the FIR, the incident happened on May 3 at around 6.30 p.m. in Khumujama Leikai Churachandpur.
The FIR was filed after a Meitei woman victim filed a report alleging that she was gang-raped by unknown Kuki miscreants on May 3 while she and others were attempting to flee their homes in Churachandpur.
A medical examination of the victim was also carried out in connection with the filing of the FIR.
Reportedly, Women PS Bishnupur has forwarded the FIR to Churachandpur Police Station for further inquiry.
Meanwhile, a case has been filed under Section 376-D/354/120-B/34 of the IPC.
