Tinsukia Police and Arunachal Pradesh's Special Task Force (STF) launched joint operations based on specific inputs.

Digital Desk: In Manipur's Tengnoupal district, two active cadres of the Myanmar-based underground outfit 'People Defence Force' (PDF) were nabbed.

Based on intelligence, Manipur police, the railway, and the in-charge Special Commando Unit conducted joint frisking and checking near the India-Myanmar border near Jangnoi village.
The police seized one pistol, some live rounds of ammunition, and Myanmar currency from the duo's possession during the operation.

The two detained militants have been identified as Neipaing (38), a Tamu Thauyuwate resident, and Yeyint Aung (35) from Uphapha of Tamu in Myanmar.

Three cadres of the militant group Eastern Naga National Government (ENNG) were apprehended in Tinsukia, Assam, last month.
