Security forces in Manipur found 11 weapons and 78 rounds of ammunition during search operations in outlying...

Digital Desk: In the previous 24 hours, security personnel in Manipur found 11 guns and 78 rounds of ammunition during search operations in the outskirts and sensitive regions of Bishnupur and Kangpokpi districts.

Additionally, Manipur Police Officials on their official X handle on August 15 stated, "Search operations were conducted in the fringe and vulnerable areas of Bishnupur and Kangpokpi districts, in which 11 (eleven) arms and 78 (seventy-eight) ammunitions were recovered."

Meanwhile, a total of 124 Nakas/Checkpoints were constructed in various districts of Manipur, both in the hill and valley, and police detained 1289 people in connection with violations in various districts of the State.


Meanwhile, on August 14, security officers in Manipur successfully detonated five unexploded bombs discovered in the bordering districts of Bishnupur and Churachandpur.

Despite frequent incidents involving protestors, the state maintains its attempts to maintain peace and security.

Citizens are additionally asked to return any looted weaponry, ammunition, or explosives to the police or nearby security forces, therefore helping the overall attempt to maintain peace and stability.
