On July 4, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the BJP government in the state had incited deadly riots by dividing the communities.


Digital Desk: A heated clash in Thoubal, Manipur, resulted in one death and more than twelve people being hurt when police opened fire in different occasions.


Sources claim that to get the situation under control, the protesters utilised slingshots and even threw stones at the security personnel.


The deceased has been identified as Amuzham Ronaldo. As a result of the incident, local tensions rose and the environment grew more dangerous.


The situation worsened after the police opened fire, resulting in the burning of three Assam Rifles trucks. The altercation shows how urgent action is required to defuse the situation and bring calm to the area.
