Digital Desk: Two people were killed and three others were injured after a huge rock tumbled and crushed their cars in Nagaland's Chumoukedima district on Tuesday evening.

The incident happened at around 5 p.m. on National Highway 29 near the Old Chumoukedima police checkpost, police said.

One person died on the spot, while another died from his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Referral Hospital, they said.

The three injured are receiving treatment at the hospital, officials said.

The impact of the accident was such that the three cars hit by the rocks turned into a heap of metal.

The automobiles were coming from the Kohima side at the time of the accident, which was caught on the dash camera of a vehicle behind them. The video went viral on social media.
