Digital Desk: A powerful explosion took place along the National Highway-2 near Saparmeina in Kangpokpi district late at night around 12.25 am on Tuesday.
According to early reports, there have been no confirmed deaths from the explosion, but the highway sustained significant damage and three sizable holes formed, making it difficult for commuters to commute.
Meanwhile, restrictions have been imposed on the movement of heavy vehicles on the highway.
The tribal body has condemned the attack and has scheduled an emergency meeting early this morning, following which any additional action on the incident will be initiated.
