Digital Desk: Meghalaya's Education Minister, Rakkam K Sangma, voiced serious concerns regarding the persistent failure of candidates from Meghalaya to pass the Civil Services Exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.
Addressing reporters, the Minister expressed disappointment over the absence of successful candidates in recent exams, emphasizing the need for reflection among governmental bodies, educational institutions, scholars, and the youth. Sangma highlighted the inherent capability of Meghalaya students but noted the alarming wake-up call presented by the lack of successful candidates in the Civil Services Exam, stressing the importance of self-motivation among the youth and warning of potential consequences for the state's future.
He also pointed out discrepancies between the state's curriculum, institutional quality, and the mindset of the youth compared to national standards, urging institutions to bridge this gap and prepare students for national and international challenges.
