Several LPG cylinders exploded during the incident
Digital Desk: Tonight around, 9:30pm a massive fire broke out in the Bamunimaidam area of Guwahati, triggering panic among residents. The blaze erupted at a market in the Railway Colony and soon spread to a nearby slum area close to Railway Gate No. 6.
Several LPG cylinders exploded during the incident, with at least six explosions reported, intensifying the fire. Multiple houses were completely gutted in the blaze.
The affected slum area reportedly has around 70 to 80 houses. More cylinder explosions are being reported. A large market is located near the slum area.
Fire and emergency services rushed to the spot and are working to bring the situation under control.
