Digital Desk: Meghalaya government has decided to shift the administrative office of the state government to the New Shillong Township (NST).  Addressing the media, state Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui stated that the state government has acquired around 800 acres of land. This move of the administrative building to the new township region will help decongest Shillong City.  The foundation laying stone of the new administrative office building will take place on January 21, 2022. The cabinet meeting has put forward significant state matters and has taken vital decisions.  Moreover, the cabinet meeting today has also approved the early childhood mission. This mission aims to provide a secure, exciting, and developmentally relevant learning environment with a quality academic curriculum that helps all children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
