Shillong: Nothing can be more traumatizing to see animals subjected to horrors of human monstrosity for mere entertainment or meat. An inhuman act of animal torture was reported from Meghalaya where a man killed a female street dog in Lawmali, Shillong for meat.
The incident took place yesterday when the defenseless animal was beaten with an iron rod while resting, said reports.
The injured dog was taken to a veterinary hospital immediately but it succumbed to her injuries. ‘Shillong Happytails’ later respectfully buried the dog.
The accused has been identified as homeless man.
