Digital Desk: Chaotic scene unfolds at Assam State Zoo after a student from Meghalaya goes missing inside the zoo on Thursday.
A joint operation by the police and forest department is underway in search of the missing person inside the premises of the zoo.
The situation took a mysterious turn when a pair of shoes and a bag were recovered from the hilly areas of the zoo.
Authorities launched a rigorous search operation, which continued until the early hours of July 4, but the whereabouts of the missing person remain unknown.
The individual has been identified as Built More Bohthmit, a 22-year-old student from Meghalaya, currently studying in Assam. His registered address is in Shillong.
The search operation included the use of sniffer dog, yet no substantial clues were uncovered. Built More Bohthmit was reported missing from the Giraffe Point inside the zoo, where his bag was also discovered nearby.
Apart from that, drugs were found inside the bag, along with a note.
