Digital Desk: A polling officer has gone missing, from Karbi Anglong, raising serious concern across the region.The missing person , identified as Cornelius Kindu, was serving as the third polling officer during the recent voting process. According to local residents, he had been on duty at Sarup Kathar Primary School on polling day.
Reports suggest that Kindu fell ill during the voting process. Amid the ongoing polling, he reportedly left the school premises and went missing. He had informed his family members that he was heading home; however, he never reached his residence.
Following the incident, Rongmongwe Police, with assistance from local residents, launched a search operation. During the search, some of the clothes believed to belong to Kindu were recovered from a nearby location. However, there has been no trace of him so far.
The police intensified the search using drones to scan the entire area, but no significant clues have been found yet.
The mysterious disappearance has created a sensation in the region. Cornelius Kindu is a resident of the Dhanasiri area in Diphu. Authorities continue their efforts to locate the missing polling officer.
