Digital Desk: The Delhi Police arrested a model and his friend on Monday with drugs worth Rs 1 crore. Reportedly, Shubham Malhotra (25) and his friend Kirti (27) used to bring drugs from Himachal Pradesh and sell them in Delhi. As per police reports, the duo primarily distributed drugs around the Delhi University campus.
Rohit Meena, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, said, “Delhi Police started an inquiry after receiving information that some people distribute drugs in Delhi University.”
The police stated that Shubham and his friend Kirti once used a car to smuggle cannabis out of Himachal. Kirti used a pillow to disguise herself as pregnant to avoid security checks.
The crime branch reportedly received information that Shubham was in Himachal Pradesh on July 12. They set up a trap at Delhi’s Indus border to capture the duo as they were returning. Police apprehended the accused at Gupta Chowk in Delhi after a chase through heavy rain.
