Digital Desk: In a shocking and tragic incident of moral policing reported in Lakhimpur’s Boginadi, a mother lost her life while trying to protect her son from a group of young men. The incident unfolded at Boginadi’s 14 Mile, where a man was brutally beaten by a group of 6-7 individuals over suspicions of an illicit relationship with a woman.
The situation escalated when the mother, unable to bear witness to her son's assault, intervened to rescue him. Tragically, the young men turned their violence towards the mother, subjecting her to a severe beating in front of her son. Despite being rushed to receive medical attention, the mother succumbed to her injuries before she could receive treatment.
The son, grieving the loss of his mother, expressed his anguish and disbelief at the brutal turn of events, questioning the perpetrators for taking the law into their own hands and causing his mother's untimely death.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident based on a First Information Report (FIR) filed in response to the tragic events that unfolded in Boginadi.
A similar incident of moral policing was reported in the state a few days back from Gur village, Dalgaon on May 4 where a woman was brutally beaten and tortured.
