Digital Desk: Mumbai Indians (MI) pacer Issy Wong made history by taking the first hat trick of the Women's Premier League (WPL). Wong completed her hat-trick by dismissing Kiran Navgire, Simran Shaikh, and Sophie Ecclestone on consecutive deliveries in the 13th over.

Kiran was caught by Nat Sciver Brunt for 43, giving the right-arm spinner her second wicket of the day. Issy hit the mark with the next delivery and bowled Simran for a duck. Eccelstone, too, failed to respond to Issy's delivery and was bowled out for a duck on the first delivery she faced.

Issy's wicket of Kiran effectively ended UP Warriorz's hopes, and the Alyssa Healy-led team was knocked out of the tournament with a 72-run defeat. Issy bowled a player of the match spell of 4-0-15-4.

Mumbai bowled out UP for a meager score of 110 due to Issy's spell. Kiran led the way for UP, scoring 43 off 27 balls.

Sciver-Brunt used his bat effectively for Bombay. The star all-rounder smashed an unbeaten 72 off just 38 deliveries. Brunt hit 9 fours and two sixes in her knock while batting at a strike rate of 189.47. Pooja Vastrakar's cameo of 11 off 4 balls pushed Mumbai beyond the 180-run mark.

With this victory, Mumbai Indians advanced to the final, where they will face Delhi Capitals (DC) on Sunday (March 26). DC qualified for the final by topping the points chart. According to the rules, the winning squad receives automatic qualification to the final.

MI held the top spot for a long time, but two defeats near the conclusion of the season saw them drop to second place. MI dropped one of their two league-stage matches against UP.
