The death toll from a massive fire that erupted today near Delhi’s Mundka metro station has risen to 26.
Digital Desk : According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer District) Sameer Sharma, 50 people have been rescued so far and the rescue operation is still ongoing.

The Deputy Chief Fire Officer of Delhi Fire Service, Sunil Choudhary, told media persons that 26 bodies were recovered in the fire at the three-storey commercial building that broke out this evening near Delhi’s Mundka metro station.

A preliminary investigation revealed that it is a three-story commercial building typically used to provide office space for businesses, according to the police.

Reportedly, the fire broke out on the first floor of the building, which has the office of a company that manufactures CCTV cameras and routers. Moreover, police have arrested the owner of the company. According to the police, efforts are being made to bring the situation under control.
