It is the first museum honouring the "father of the nation" in the USA, created by the Gandhian Society of New Jersey in collaboration with the Aditya Birla Group.

Digital Desk: A museum dedicated to the life and message of Mahatma Gandhi has opened in the Atlantic City of the United States.

The museum, which was officially opened this past weekend, features interactive multimedia screens and artefacts that allow visitors to follow the events of the apostle of peace's life.

Renowned members of the Indian American community including Randhir Jaiswal, India's consul general in New York, attended the event.

It is the first museum honouring the "father of the nation" in the USA, created by the Gandhian Society of New Jersey in collaboration with the Aditya Birla Group.

According to a press statement, the museum will collaborate with the Martin Luther King Foundation to display the lives and messages of the two greatest personalities of the modern era.

In his remarks, Jaiswal lauded the Gandhian Society's efforts on this project and those of its founder, Bhadra Butala, as well as the Birla Group for bringing the museum to the United States.
