Digital Desk: Legendary India captain MS Dhoni extended his congratulations to Team India for their victory in the T20 World Cup 2024. India triumphed over South Africa by a narrow margin of seven runs in the final, held at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados on Saturday, June 28. The Men in Blue set a competitive total of 176/7 in their allotted 20 overs. In response, South Africa managed 169/8, falling short as India clinched their second T20 World Cup Trophy.

Following this historic win, the entire nation joined in celebrating India's remarkable achievement. MS Dhoni took to his Instagram account to express his admiration, highlighting the intense moments of the game and praising the team's composure under pressure.

“My heart rate was up,well done on being calm, having the self belief and doing what u guys did.From all the Indians back home and everywhere in the world a big thank you for bringing the World Cup Home.CONGRATULATIONS,” posted Dhoni on his Instagram account.

However, Jasprit Bumrah's economical spell, conceding just four runs in his crucial third over, swung momentum back in India's favor. Hardik Pandya played a pivotal role by dismissing Klaasen and holding nerve in the final over, where he also claimed the wicket of David Miller with a stunning catch by Suryakumar Yadav. Pandya successfully defended 15 runs in the last five balls, ensuring India's victory in a tense finish.
