Digital Desk: An incident of theft and vandalism has been reported from a school in Nagaon, where miscreants not only stole valuables but also allegedly consumed alcohol inside the premises.


The incident took place at the Bengali Primary School located on RK Road in Nagaon town. As to reports, a group of thieves broke open the lock and entered the school premises on  29th April night.


The miscreants reportedly stole several utensils and other valuable items from the school. After carrying out the heist , they allegedly consumed alcohol inside the campus, leaving behind a scene of disorder.


The matter came to light the following morning when teachers arrived at the school and found the premises ransacked. They immediately informed the police.


Based on a complaint lodged by the school authorities, Itachali Police Station has launched an investigation into the incident.
