Nation gets ready for the biggest vaccination drive, GMCH, AMCH readies itself for Covid-19 vaccine

Guwahati: As India readies itself for the biggest vaccination drive in the world, in Assam, Gauhati Medical College and Hospital and Assam Medical College and Hospital too are waiting to deliver the covid vaccines to the beneficiaries.

The inauguration of the covid vaccine will take simultaneously in both places, wherein State Chief Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal will inaugurate the programme at AMCH, Dibrugarh while State Health Minister Dr,. Himanta Biswa Sarma will inaugurate the programme in Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.

In a presser held yesterday, Dr, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the covid vaccine will be administered in phased manner with the health workers receiving the doses in the first phase.

Pregnant women and kids are being exempted from receiving the covid doses.
