On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media platform X and Facebook to express his concern over the veteran singer’s health. In his post, he wrote, “Deeply concerned to hear that Asha Bhosle Ji has been admitted to the hospital. Praying for her good health and a speedy recovery.”


The singer’s granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, confirmed the development, stating that Asha Bhosle was hospitalised due to extreme exhaustion and a chest infection. She also requested privacy for the family, adding that treatment is ongoing and that they remain hopeful of a positive recovery.


As per reports, the veteran singer is currently under the care of Dr. Pratit Samdani.

Asha Bhosle’s illustrious career spans several decades, marked by exceptional versatility across genres, including ghazals, cabaret songs, and contemporary music.


She has collaborated with renowned composers such as OP Nayyar, RD Burman, and AR Rahman, delivering numerous iconic songs cherished across generations.
