In the women's butterfly event, Astha recorded 01:03.90 minutes, breaking Richa Mishra's Delhi mark of 01:04.41.

Earlier, sprinter Amlan Borgohain earned gold in the 100m, cyclist Chayanika Gogoi got silver in the 10km category, lawn bowler Nayanmoni Saikia won bronze, and Popi Hazarika won silver in the 59 kg weightlifting.

The 36th National Games are being hosted in Gujarat for the first time, from September 29 to October 12.

In 36 different sports categories, there are close to 15,000 athletes, coaches, and officials competing from all across the nation.

At Narendra Modi Stadium, Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the National Games.
