The day aims to educate the younger generation about prior acts of patriotism and sacrifice, similar to Memorial Day.

Digital Desk: Nation Road Trip Day is observed in the United States on May 27. A road trip is a long-distance journey on the road and perhaps one of the best ways to spend quality time with family, friends, or your partner.

If you are a person who enjoys travelling, road trips are the best option for you. Taking a road trip has so many benefits, like opportunities to see new places. It also allows you to get close to nature.

The journey could be made by bus, automobile, or motorcycle. Road trips help in the removal of negativity from a person’s life. So, if you are not feeling good or you are not in a good mood, do prefer to go on a road trip; it will refresh your mind.

 History

Pilot Flying J proposed establishing or marking the day, which falls at the end of May and marks the beginning of summer in the United States, preparing people for their summer vacations.

H Nelson Jackson piloted the first successful road trip in the United States in 1903, and the concept of a road trip or long-distance road trip by vehicle was first articulated in Germany in 1888. With three other female passengers, Alice Huyler Ramsey became the first woman to drive across America in 1909.
