Digital Desk: The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has demanded action against comedian Kunal Kamra for tweeting a "morphed" video of a boy singing a patriotic song in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a letter to Twitter's grievance officer, NCPCR stated that it had received a complaint about Kamra tweeting a "morphed" video of a minor performing a patriotic song to serve his political ambitions.
"The Commission has received the complaint and believes that utilizing minors to spread political beliefs is a breach of the Juvenile Justice Act of 2015 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021. In addition, the Commission is concerned that exploiting children for such commercial goals is hazardous to their mental health," it stated.
So, the Commission recommended that the video be removed from the site immediately and that appropriate action is taken against Kamra's official account for posting such information.
Kamra reportedly published a video of PM Modi's meeting with the child in Germany, but he changed the tune the boy sang to "Mehengayi daayan khaaye jaat hain" instead of "Hey Janmabhoomi Bharat."
The boy's father slams Kamra, saying, "Keep the poor boy out of your filthy politics and try to focus on your bad jokes."
Reacting to it, Kamra responded that a news organization released the video into the public domain.
"The joke is not on your kid. While you enjoy your son singing for his motherland to the most popular song, there are songs from people in his nation that he should listen to as well," the comedian replied.
In another tweet, Kamra claimed that the NCPCR had filed a complaint against him for uploading a "meme."
