Digital Desk: Nepal Cricket Star, Sandeep Lamichhane, said that his mental health has been affected after the Nepal Police issued an arrest warrant for him for allegedly coercing a person two weeks earlier.

On September 8, as Lamichhane was taking part in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) being conducted in the West Indies, the news of his detention became public.

"The news that a warrant has been issued in my name and that the complaint against me has been lodged made me upset and unwell," Lamichhane's wrote in a Facebook post written in Nepali on September 26.

"All of these things had a negative psychological impact on me, and I also had to deal with ailment. As a result of my illness and mental stress, I isolated myself. Due to the portrayal's psychological and physical effects, I became imbalanced and have been working to go back to normal under the guidance of medical professionals. My health is progressively getting better, and I intend to go back to Nepal as soon as I can to fight the false complaint that has been made against me "the cricketer remarked.

Lamichhane, who continues to deny the allegations as ‘false’ had termed the accusations as ‘baseless’ and informed that he would leave the CPL to return home whilst in the West Indies.

However, it appears from Lamichhane's most recent statement on Monday that he has not yet arrived in Nepal.
