The swearing-in ceremonies in both states signify the beginning of new leadership...

Digital Desk: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister designate Mohan Yadav and Chhattisgarh CM designate Vishnu Deo Sai are set to take their oath of office on December 13, marking a significant development in the political landscape of both states.

Mohan Yadav, a seasoned three-time MLA from the BJP, secured victory in the Madhya Pradesh assembly election where the party won 163 out of 230 seats, overcoming anti-incumbency. Yadav's political journey began in 2013 when he first became an MLA from the Ujjain South Assembly constituency. His successive victories in 2018 and 2023 paved the way for his selection as the new Chief Minister. The oath-taking ceremony will be administered by the state Governor Mangubhai C Patel.

In Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Deo Sai, a political veteran and Union Minister, emerged as the surprise choice for Chief Minister after a week-long suspense. His appointment was announced after a crucial meeting of the BJP's newly elected 54 MLAs. Sai, victorious in the Kunkuri assembly seat, will be sworn in at a glittering ceremony in Raipur’s Science College ground. The event is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Chhattisgarh, with its 90-member assembly, adheres to constitutional norms allowing a maximum of 13 ministers, including the Chief Minister. The swearing-in ceremonies in both states signify the beginning of new leadership, promising political shifts and developments in the central Indian region.
