Digital Desk: An NIA team arrived in Assam to investigate the recent grenade explosions that have occurred in the state.

An appeal for assistance in the investigation of many grenade assaults in the districts of Tinsukia, Sivasagar, and Jo0rhat in upper Assam came from the state government, which led to the engagement of the NIA. 

These strikes occurred between November 22 and December 14, and the ULFA-I has claimed responsibility for them.

The Dirak Kapahatli Army Cantonment in Kakopathar is the scene of an ongoing inquiry by NIA officers. Top NIA and Kakopathar police officers, together with representatives from Tinsukia police, are present as the investigation is taken up.
 
Nearly 14 days after the grenade explosion, the NIA is also looking into the discovery of an active grenade on Chinteshwar Chetia's house roof.
