Digital Desk: Two days after issuing the notice regarding teachers being called in for Ambubachi Mela duty, the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (Metropolitan) district, Pallav Gopal Jha, clarified on Wednesday that the notification was issued due to some miscommunication.

Jha said, "The notification that was released by the District Inspector of Schools to provide teachers for the orderly running of Ambubachi Mela will be withdrawn as it was issued due to some miscommunication."

Meanwhile, explaining the same, education minister Ranoj Pegu tweeted, "No teacher has been given Ambuwasi duty. In fact duty detailment is not yet done — @DCKamrupMetro has clarified. Further, no exams are scheduled now in the schools as per the academic calendar."

It should be mentioned that on June 12, the Kamrup (M) District Inspector of Schools issued a notice requesting efficient teachers/manpower for the smooth operation of the Ambubachi Mela.
