Digital Desk: In a new outbreak of violence, nine people were reportedly killed and nine were injured in Manipur after miscreants opened fire and carried out arson attacks in Khamenlok village under Kangpokpi district on Wednesday (June 13, 2023).

Reportedly, miscreants burned down several houses in Khamenlok village and injured several people in Gobajang, Tamenglong district.

The situation in the unstable northeastern state remains precarious, with security personnel continuing to patrol in the high-risk areas to prevent a collapse in law and order.

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, firearms and 63 ammunitions have been obtained from Tengnoupal and Imphal-East districts. 

Meanwhile, Manipur's security advisor, Kuldiep Singh stated that a total of 1040 guns, 13,601 ammunition, and 230 various types of bombs have been seized so far.

Meanwhile, the East Imphal District Administration published a notification on June 14 announcing the reduction of curfew hours from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.
