IVF treatments will be available at GMCH every Friday, as medical authorities encourage patients in need of IVF to choose GMCH...

Digital Desk: Dr Achyut Baishya, Chairman of GMCH, alongside Superintendent Dr Abhijit Sarma, convened a press conference heralding a significant milestone: the successful initiation of IVF procedures at GMCH, a first in Northeast India.

The breakthrough lead up to the birth of a healthy baby girl on March 27, weighing 2.6 KG. This achievement marks a key advancement for GMCH, which can now seamlessly offer IVF services at an affordable cost of Rs 70,000, significantly lower than the expenses incurred at external hospitals, which can range from Rs 5-6 lakh.

With five women currently undergoing IVF treatment, GMCH emerges as the first IVF centre in the Northeast, extending an invitation to the public to avail themselves of these services without hesitation.

Effective immediately, IVF treatments will be available at GMCH every Friday, as medical authorities encourage patients in need of IVF to choose GMCH for their treatment needs.
