Digital Desk: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh responded to former US President Barack Obama's remark about Muslim rights in India. Singh stated that the former US president should remember that India is the only country that considers all people in the world as family members.

"Obama ji should remember that India is the only country that considers all individuals in the world as family members... He ought to evaluate himself in terms of how many Muslim nations he has attacked," the minister said at an event in Jammu.

Earlier on Sunday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman lashed out at Obama, asserting that the US bombed six Muslim-majority nations when Obama was president. In a recent CNN interview, Obama stressed the protection of ethnic minorities rights in India. The former US President stated that if India's government fails to protect the rights of ethnic minorities, the country will "pull apart."
