It is the company's first order from the North-Eastern states, and it will take nine months to complete, according to Olectra Greentech.

Digital Desk: Olectra Greentech Limited announced that it has received a Letter of Award from Assam State Transport Corporations for the purchase of 100 electric buses. 

According to a press release from the firm, it is the first order garnered from the North-Eastern states, and the order is to be delivered over a nine-month period, with the firm responsible for the maintenance of these buses for a five-year term. 

Olectra would pay around Rs 151 crore for the supply of these 100 buses.

"We are delighted to get the first order from the North-Eastern states and Assam," said K V Pradeep, Chairman, and Managing Director. With this order, our buses are travelling all throughout India. Ours travelled over five million kilometres on Indian roadways and dramatically decreased carbon emissions."
