In addition to the 100 secondary schools for children of tea garden workers that were inaugurated this academic year, the report stated that 100 further schools and 10 colleges were in the planning stages of similar projects.

Digital Desk: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday posted a list of his administration's educational initiatives, notably those geared toward the tea garden tribes, on Twitter while once more tagging Arvind Kejriwal, the mayor of Delhi.

Sarma stated, "Unless forced to, we prefer to operate quietly," while showing a video clip.

"For the students of tea garden workers, we have opened 100 secondary schools so far this academic year, with plans to open 100 more. In Assam's most isolated areas, there are tea gardens,” he explained.

According to the video, Assam has a strong public school system with more than 2 lakh teachers instructing over 65 lakh students in 44,521 government-run institutions.

The state government reportedly employs 1.18 lakh people to prepare midday meals.

In addition to the 100 secondary schools for children of tea garden workers that were inaugurated this academic year, the report stated that 100 further schools and 10 colleges were in the planning stages of similar projects.

"We like to deliver quality, quietly," was the sentence that the video concluded with.

The two chief ministers have been exchanging barbs on Twitter for a while now, one of them pleading with the other to travel to their state and see the development being made.

Sarma presented his government's accomplishments in the healthcare sector on Friday, tagging Kejriwal.

After reading in the news that the Assam government had merged schools because of subpar test scores, the Delhi chief minister responded by saying that closing schools was not a solution.
