New Delhi: Amid the rise of Omicron cases in India, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Director Dr Randeep Guleria said that India should prepare itself for any probability.

Additionally, he suggested the government to monitor the rise of Omicron cases in other countries to prepare itself to fight against the new variant.

“We should start preparing for the new covid variant Omicron. Hope things are not as bad as in the United Kingdom. We need more data on Omicron. Whenever there is a surge in cases in other parts of the world, we need to monitor it closely and should be prepared then to get infected with the virus.” said Dr Guleria.
