Digital Desk: There have been claims that a jawan from the 9th Assam Police Battalion (APBN) in Barhampur, Nagaon, went missing from the Mizoram-Myanmar border.

According to reports, the jawan went missing from sight while stationed at a voting station in Mizoram's border regions prior to the state's assembly elections.

On October 28, Nath and a battalion travelled to Mizoram. Sabin Nath, a native of Samaguri in Nagaon, has been identified as the missing jawan.

According to reports, he did not carry any weapons when he went missing and he was in his uniform.

In an attempt to locate the missing jawan, the Mizoram Police and senior battalion authorities launched search operations.
