Tezpur: A man and a woman were arrested by the Indian Army for imitating as an army officer in Tezpur report said.

The Indian Army apprehended the fake army officer and the woman from Kaliabor Bridge, Tezpur.

Additionally, they also confiscate fake documents like identity cards, Liquid cards, departmental identity cards from the accused.

Reportedly, the accused claimed that he belongs from 9 Para (Special Forces), afterwards, he changed the statement stating that he works in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

The report said, “The woman is wearing a t-shirt with Para SF insignia, which indicated that she is also involved in the entire case.”

Sources stated that when a team of the Indian army was monitoring the area between Missa Cantonment and Tezpur Cantonment, they noticed an individual dressed up in an Army uniform with an Indian Army insignia.

Moreover, sources stated the Army suspected the accused man to be a spy as both Missa and Tezpur are sensitive military bases.
