To rescue the trapped people from the ferry, the Inland Water Transport Department has arranged a different ferry.


Digital Desk: A  passenger ferry travelling from Nimati Ghat to Kamalabari got stranded in the Brahmaputra River near Majuli, Assam on October 27. 

The ferry was carrying both passengers and multiple vehicles, sources said. There were over a hundred individuals on board the ferry, along with forty motorcycles and cars. At 8:30 in the morning, the ferry from Nimati arrived at Kamalabari Ghat. 

To rescue the trapped people from the ferry, the Inland Water Transport Department has arranged a different ferry.
