New Delhi: The National Capital, Delhi is facing a tough situation battling with crowded beds, overcrowded crematoriums, graveyards, shortage in oxygen supply as the city faces anomalous rise in covid cases and deaths.

Delhi's hospitals faced a severe oxygen crisis on Tuesday with only few hours of oxygen supply left for the covid patients. With the hospitals facing a harrowing time looking after the covid patients and severe medical supply crunch, the AAP Government appealed the Delhi High Court to look into the situation at the earliest. Following which Delhi HC pulled up Centre.

Following Delhi High Court's intervention, Oxygen tankers arrived late on Tuesday at some of these places, including Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, which were merely hours away from running out of stock.

Delhi's biggest COVID-19 facility, the Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital, received 10 tonnes of supplies last night. The hospital administration said these stocks would suffice for now.
Gangaram Hospital received 14,000 cubic metres of oxygen in two separate late night/early morning consignments, enough to hold them for a day or two, chairman DS Rana said.
