Digital Desk: A five-year-old boy died after he fell from the balcony of his eighth-floor flat in Noida's Hyde Park Society. According to the officials, the boy's parents and sister were sleeping when the accident occurred.

"The family members informed the authorities that occasionally the child would wake up earlier than others and go around the house. The child walked to the balcony today where some planters were kept, and from the balcony grill over those planters is where he fell, according to a police spokesperson. The infant was taken urgently to a private hospital in Sector 71, where the medical staff pronounced him dead.

According to locals, the boy's balcony's railing is 4.5 feet high, which is sufficient to prevent the child from falling.

The child's parents are from Bihar, and his 35-year-old father Prabhat Singh, who is a software engineer currently works from home.
