According to an RTI response, Prime Minister Modi pays all of his food expenses and not a single rupee is spent on it from the government budget.
The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has provided this information on the question asked through RTI. The Prime Minister's Office Secretary, Binod Bihari Singh, responded to the RTI by stating that not even one cent of the government budget is used to pay for the PM's lunch.
In addition, the Prime Minister's home (PM Awas) is protected by the Central Public Works Department. Whereas the SPG is in charge of the vehicles. Salary information was also sought through RTI, but only by referring to the guidelines was information given to make increments as per the rules.
